Whipped shea is not a lotion but rather a creamy butter. Because there is no water added there is no need for a chemical preservative. It is made by melting down pure shea butter then adding jojoba and sunflower oils,vitamin E, a bit of fragrance, and cornstarch for a less greasy feel. Then it is whipped for hours while the shea re-solidifies. You now have a solid cream with a smooth texture that melts into your skin. A little goes a long way! (Because our butter can melt in high temperatures we will not ship during the summer months. If it should melt in shipping it will only change the consistency.
